Guess my babies birthDAY and other stats

Alright friends the time for guessing is here...

The baby clothes are washed, the crib is put together, hanging bassinet is in my room, the maternity photos are done, the potty break filled nights are in full swing, the feet are swelling, the breaths are shorter, the contractions are painful (but not consistent) the only thing we need now is a new baby to fill our arms!!

So, that's where you come in. Time to take your best guess as to when this baby girl will arrive and how big she'll be. Leave a comment with your best guess and whomever comes closest will win a little prize pack. I have a lovely little fashion bracelet set, and a feather trinket box kit from Creativity for Kids and maybe some other little goodies to give to the winner. Check below for some stats on my other kids just to give you a leg up on the competition!!

And just because I love these photos and want to share them with everyone...here are some of the photos our awesome photographer Tracye got of all of us last Sunday night.
Silly kids!!

And I took this one of myself this morning at the Free Smithsonian Museum Day (did anyone else take advantage of that?)

Naomi was born 9 days before her due date at 7lbs 12oz and 20inches
Micah was born 7 days before his due date and was 7lbs 12oz and 19 3/4 inches
Hannah was born 1 day before her due date and was 7lbs 5oz and 20 inches
This babies due date is October 7th.

First person to guess the closest will get the prize pack!! Good luck and make sure to leave an email address so I can contact you to get your mailing address!! (and if you don't have little girls to win these prizes for I'm sure you can find someone to give them to for Christmas!!)

Email Marketing with Linky Tools

Have you ever thought about advertising your business, shop, blog, Etsy shop with Email Marketing?
I know it sounds like a lot of work, but with Linky Tools, it is a breeze!!!

All you have to do is host a linky party on your blog and add in the easy "Email Marketing" tool.

If you have linked up to my current Create and Share Linky Party, you will have gotten my Marketing Email!  It was my first time using it and I LOVE it!

By using this tool you are guaranteeing that everyone, yes everyone that links up to your party will get your marketing email.

... How it works and what to Market ...

What to Market... you can make up multiple Marketing Emails for your linky parties. You can choose to promote 1 item from your shop, announce a sale, share sponsors or just a general message.  The other thing I love is that I can share all the links to where you can find me like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, ect.

SPONSORS... Sharing new sponsors in an email is great but you can also sell ad space in them too. Get new sponsors and ads with each weeks Marketing Email you send out. This also helps your sponsors!!!

How it works... go into your Linky Tools account.  In the sidebar there is a Marketing Template, click on that and go create your email. Don't forget you can make more than one for different promotions.

Next, create your linky party.  While creating make sure you click on "require email" (so you know they will definitely get the email) and down at the bottom there is a EMAIL MARKETING area. Click on yes and then select the message you want sent out.

Save and add to your blog as usual. Everyone who links up will now get your EMAIL! Easy Peasy!

There is a fee to use this tool! And it is the cheapest way to advertise your business out there. Only $1 per month.  I'd say that is well worth it since you can potentially bring hundreds if not more visitors to your shop or promotion each week.  Or day if you decide to host more than one link party. Really you could host a party everyday and get thousands of visitors each week, its up to you.
There is also a small fee to use the Linky Party Tools. Go HERE to read more on their subscriptions. Again still worth it!
So PLEASE visit Linky Tools today to get your account set up if you don't already have one. You will be glad you did once you start getting more visitors from those marketing emails!!!

Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll up

I'm back...did you miss me last weekend!? No? Well, that's okay. I thought yesterday I was going to have a baby...consistent contractions for about two hours, but they didn't get stronger, or closer together so alas, I am still pregnant! And that's okay. I still have things to cross of my "to-do before baby comes" list.

In the middle of crafting, making freezer meals, updating my kids birthday books and the such I've had some time to just rest...and think about food I want to eat. Strange huh? Well, I was craving something gooey, and cheesy so I thought I'd try something. I'm sure it's been done before and I'm not the first one to do this and there are SO many different ways you could make this ... this just happens to be what I made.

Here's my version of a ham and cheese crescent roll up!

I took a crescent roll tube, rolled it out and tried to seal the seams.

I spread some whipped cream cheese (it was easy to spread, otherwise use softened cream cheese) on top

Then added some lunchmeat...ham (but you could do turkey, ground cooked sausage, the options are all yours!)

Then I sprinkled the whole thing with shredded colby jack cheese...

Then I rolled the whole thing up and put it in the oven. I just followed the directions on the crescent roll package.

In about 12 minutes we had a delicious, gooey, cheesy lunch!!

My kids and I gobbled this up quick and if my husband would have been home for lunch I would have made two!

So, here's hoping this little girl decides to come soon! Maybe we should have a guessing game...with prizes? Anyone interested????

have a great weekend and first day of FALL!!!

Framed Pin Cushion from Pine Creek Style

My mom is visiting us again today. She made me the cutest pin cushion.  I shared it on Instagram and a few people asked how to make it. My mom was happy to share it with us. Read below for her how to.... ;)

I have seen some cute things done with picture frames lately. And they have been on my "To Do" list for TOO long!
Picture Frame Pin Cushion...Functional & Cute!
*See the above items you'll need.
**I used the back cardboard from an old tablet to attach my padding. It was just the right thickness; sturdy but not to thick!
Cut several thicknesses of quilt batting to use as the pin cushion. I cut two pieces larger than the rest. The larger batting is the backing for the cushion. The smaller pieces fit just inside the frame opening allowing thickness on the inside/open part of the frame. i used 8 smaller pieces for my thickness.
I used burlap for my outer material and a thin piece of muslin for the backing. This way, none of the batting would come through the larger weave of the burlap fabric.
Neatly fold the fabric around the batting closing in the cardboard backing. You may glue, tape or sew it in place if you wish.
Then I replaced the back to the frame. That simple, that fast.
I sent a cell phone photo to my daughter who replied; "I want one!"
So the one on the left is Tara's (from Trendy Treehouse) and the right is mine!
**Note my scissors....After years of having many scissors ruined by being used for the wrong items....I NOW mark my territory!
Haha...I feel your laughter....IN agreement! :)
There's more...See what Tara DID to my gift!!!

Update:
I gave Tara her gift (pin cushion frame) this past weekend! She loved it!
She also loves StringArt!
Using straight pins, she created a pretty StringArt Style pattern on her pin cushion.
Then she sent a "Thank You" photo to Me!
Very, Very Cute! Of course I had to share!

Would love to hear your comments!

Tara had fun with her photo apps! :)

Thanks again MOM for making this for me and helping ChaCha make one too!

Make sure you stop by my moms blog and say hi and thank her for this tute! You might want to also click that follow button too. She has some pretty cool posts over there!
